MT. WASHINGTON HILLCLIMB DAY-TWO PRACTICE REPORT

Speeds increase during second practice day as drier conditions prevail. Multiple time rally champion David Higgins remained the pace setter at the wheel of a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI on day two of practice at the 2011 Mt. Washington Hillclimb. WASHBURN CAPTURES TOP SPEED AT RADAR GUN IN SATURDAY PRACTICE

As the Mt. Washington Auto Road dried, drivers posted top speeds significantly higher than yesterday’s wet weather speeds. Most impressive was Bill Washburn, who passed the trap at 106 mph in his 1989 Nissan/DSG 240SX Maxi E2 – a 22 mph increase over his speed in Friday’s rain. Continue reading →
